URTEC 2022

Silixa to exhibit at URTEC in Houston, TX, USA on 20–22 June 2022

Silixa will be presenting and exhibiting at the Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTec) in Houston, TX, USA on 20 ‑22 June 2022.

Come see how we can help you assess your unconventional design treatment effectiveness and well performance by visiting us at our booth #1643.

Completions and hydraulic fracture operations in unconventional wells can comprise 50% or more of the total well cost. Silixa’s ArrayFrac™ permanent fiber optic cable frac monitoring services evaluate limited entry completions, cluster efficiency and stage isolation to optimize treatment designs and allows for analysis and decisions in real-time.

Our Carina® XwellXpress, crosswell low frequency strain and microseismic monitoring service accurately locates microseismic and strain events in real-time through wireline intervention.

ArrayFrac™ and Carina® XwellXpress near field and far field diagnostic measurements are crucial for determining required treatment design size for well placement and spacing, fracture half-lengths and optimal frac sequencing providing insight to the most valuable decisions an operator will make during acreage development plans.

Our Carina® 100XLog service is a fiber optic intervention logging service that analyses well production dynamics in real-time more effectively and efficiently than other production logging technologies and interference testing using fiber optics can help assess effective half lengths relative to the total stimulated reservoir volume.

Silixa also be presenting two papers on these technologies at the conference on Monday, 20 June 2022. Our presentation titled Measuring Fracture Induced Stress Shadow Using Fiber Optic Sensing and Its Implications on Fracture Stimulation Design will be presented at 1:45 pm – 3.05 pm, at Exhibition Hall Station A. (Theme 4: Measuring Downhole Stress and Strain) It will reveal how distributed fiber optic sensing is used to measure the induced stress adjacent to the fracture face, also referred to as “stress shadow”.

Our second presentation, Repeat DAS and DTS Production Logs on a Permanent Fiber Optic Cable for Evaluating Production Changes and Interference with Offset Wells, will be presented on Wednesday, 22 June 2022 at 10.45 am – 12.05 pm, in room 371 (Theme 9: EUR and Performance Prediction: Decline Curve Analysis and Beyond II.)

These papers highlight how DAS and DTS measurements on a permanently installed and retrievable deployed fiber optic system enables our clients to assess and optimize their completions and well spacing designs.

URTEC is the premier event that continues to be the best opportunity to exchange information, formulate strategic ideas and solve problems to manage and optimize your unconventional resource plays.
